It started out as a little thought,
But somehow it was more,
The home we envisioned was in our hearts.
And with Gibralter it wasn’t a chore.
We carefully planned each square inch,
With the concerned guidance of your team,
And after several methodical meetings,
We beheld the blueprints of our dreams.
We witnessed the inception of groundbreaking
A most inspiring day,
For it was the beginning,
of a journey that I am reflecting on today.
Next came the rock of the Gibraltar foundation,
A sound, sturdy base indeed,
For upon it was to rest,
the structure embracing our family.
The columns were placed,
The bricks secured,
The windows were the openings
To our new world.
The roof was capped,
The porches complete,
The painting, the flooring, the woodwork,
There was nothing that Gibraltar couldn’t meet.
Every expectation,
Every request,
Every change order faxed,
Was nothing but the best.
From Pete, Christine, Amelia and Karl,
To jack, Sean and Todd, we never heard a snarl.
Occasionally from Sherry, but never from Clyde,
You took us in with open arms wide.
